Turner’s new series Claws will be the first Basic Cable Drama to stream on Twitter this Sunday on June 11 after it’s premiere on linear television. The move appeals to cord-cutters who prefer to consume content a la carte instead of signing up for lengthy and complicated satellite or cable contracts.

The social platform site is also looking to expand it’s monetary revenues by testing the waters of broadcasting. Twitter has been a popular platform for users to live-tweet their favorite with fellow fans across the country and the world. This move by Twitter and Turner is looking to blend the live-tweeting aspect and watching experience into one big screening.

The premiere live stream won’t be a regular live tweeting session. Turner and Twitter will release a unique emoji of the show’s official hashtag #ClawsTNT. If that isn’t enticing enough, the stars of Claws, Niecy Nash (Reno 911), Carrie Preston (True Blood), Jenn Lyon (Justified), Judy Reyes (Scrubs) and Karrueche Tran (The Nice Guys), will live tweet the premiere itself.

Claws is a drama set in Florida, and follows a crew of nail technicians earning extra cash as part of larger drug ring. The premiere will air on TNT on Sunday, June 11 at 9/8c, followed by the Twitter Livestream at 10/9c at claws.twitter.com. Those who miss both airings will be able to watch through tntdrama.com, TNT On Demand and the TNT mobile app, as well as through primetime encores airing throughout the week on TNT.
